| I have moved....to a different blog...you can find me at: victor-huang.blogspot.com
for a while, I had made it private because I don't like putting my life on display and I would put some things that might make people angry or w/e but who cares! That aside. no more xanga for me.

| And so ends fall quarter....it's been a long and testing quarter. I'm finally done with finals. It was a very stressful week and I think I gained 10 pounds....I tend to eat when I study. So basically it was projects then exams. It was rather ridiculous. I spent hours on projects just to have them critiqued for 5 minutes and then handed a grade....
For example, drawing 205. a 200 level course. One that you should be able to do with your eyes closed. Here is the truth, I spent more time and work on that class than my two other classes combined....art 400 and history of art 315...TWO UPPER LEVEL COURSES! I probably spent over 18+ hours on that bugger and I only did mediocre.
In art 400 which is my photography class. I spent approximately 9+ hours on that and did ok...better than drawing.
I haven't gotten back results from my exam in renaissance art history, but I had a solid A- going into the exam so I would have to had messed up really bad to fail. I actually studied a lot for this exam.
Anyways, for this winter break, the only responsibilities I have is worship practice. Other than that, I'm pretty free to do anything. I plan on.....competing in the tournament of champions, watching the band of brothers in an all out manathon, go skiing, play my guitar a bunch, worship God a bunch, work out either every day or every other day, and watch a lot of movies.
I've decided that every post I'm going to conclude with one of my photos. So this photo was taken at a wedding I was shooting with my professor.
Enjoy,

| Finals are upon me! Yeah the cool thing about studio art classes is that your final projects are assigned before and due before finals, the bad thing about them is that your doing your finals before everyone else is. Which means, while your roommates are in their beds sleeping and snoring away, you are up researching and furiously writing artists' statements and trying to make your projects have some depth to them. Oh well
Here is my finals schedule. Going to be in the studio everyday until Monday then a final on the 11th. After that winter break!
Here is my winter quarter schedule

| I guess, it's time to update with the little time i have.
I would have to say this school year has been busy. Alot more busy than last year. I think it's due to the fact of my art studio classes. They are so different. With studio classes you don't usually have midterms or quizzes or tests. It's all projects. So you get assigned a project usually with a short deadline...and that's the never ending cycle. It seems like I spend every Sunday afternoon and night doing homework and projects. Yup, busy all the time! Oh well, thing's have been good, I can't deny that.
Life has been good. It's been busy. Every weekend is filled with work. But I guess I'm managing.
Basically I'm waiting for winter break. I'm so stoaked for the youth retreat. It's going to be baller.
Anyways, that's all I have for now....

| So I'm continuing the trend of late night xangaing because it's the only time I got.
Autumn Quarter is in full bloom and life is.....interesting. Let's talk about my classes. I am taking 3 classes this quarter. Two studio classes and one GEC. My two studio classes are film photography and beginning drawing and my GEC class is history of renaissance art. The classes are ok, I messed up my schedule so I have two studio classes back to back, which basically means on Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 to 2:30 I have class straight....yeah, rediculous. At about 1:00, I'm ready to go home....but I guess it's ok. Renaissance art history is just 2 and a half hours woth of lecture....the WHOLE TIME....he doesn't stop...not once. But it's all good.
Living in an apartment is awesome. I have 3 housemate and 1 roomate. It's interesting because I have to deal with a whole different set of problems and stuff, like cooking meals for myself, and waking up, deciding when to sleep. But it's totally better than living at home and having to commute.
My spiritual life is been ok, I wish I could do my devotions more often...like consistently. I lead worship at Chi Alpha which is interesting, I enjoy it becuase it's in a more college setting. And the people that I worship with really worship God, not this dead stare worship but the hands stretched out, people crying out to God worship. It's very encouraging to worship with people who love Jesus. College group/Bible study is good. It really helps me relearn the Bible and really apply it. It's almost like Sunday school or youth group but for big kids! lol
Photo is going great. I just shot an engagement session and it was success. I'm finishing up all the senior photos and shooting events. Things are starting to look good for the future. |
